Pivoting to AI: Turning Career Transition into Innovation

After a reorganization ended my role at Takeda, I used the transition to revisit artificial intelligence through a small set of hands-on projects and prototypes.
The presentation looks at what I built, what I learned, and how my earlier experience in AI, clinical development, and regulated pharmaceutical work shaped the process. It also considers the gap between an interesting demonstration and something that is accurate, useful, maintainable, and ready for real-world use.
The paper covers the less technical side as well: uncertainty, rebuilding momentum, and the role professional communities such as PHUSE can play during a career transition.
